Your social security number is required for credit screening. In addition, it helps in accelerating the processing of your account with Atlanta Gas Light.
Why does MXenergy need to do a credit screening?
We want to offer our customers the lowest rates possible. Costs are affected by consumers who slow pay or default on payment. By screening out these high risk credit ratings or securing higher risk accounts by way of deposits, Mxenergy can more easily regulate our costs and pass those savings onto our customers.
What is the difference between a Fixed Rate Plan and a variable Market Rate Plan?
With a Fixed Rate Plan, the rate per therm is fixed during the contract period. The rate per therm of gas will not fluctuate from month-to-month. On the variable Market Rate Plan, the rate per therm can fluctuate on a monthly basis as dictated by market conditions.
What other charges will I see on my bill?
Your bill will consist of base charges from Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC), charges for consumption, monthly service fee and applicable taxes.
